What do I need to bring for this adventure?

Below is a list of recommended packing for your Kayak Tour of Ibiza:

  • Sleeping bag (medium temperature) that doesn’t take up too much space.
  • Mat: VIK will provide you with an insulated trekking mat, but if you want to bring your own, you are free to do so.

  • DNI, NIE or Passport.
  • Social Security or Private Insurance Card.
  • Thin towel or sarong (that doesn’t take up too much space).
  • 2 swimsuits or bikinis.
  • 1 long-sleeved sun-protective shirt (if you have very fair skin, we also recommend tights).

Men’s T-shirt

Women’s T-shirt

Mesh

  • Two t-shirts and two shorts.
  • Change of underwear (for sleeping).
  • A long-sleeved T-shirt or a light sweatshirt and long summer pants. (If you’re coming in September, pack a little thicker pants for the evenings.)
  • A pair of socks.
  • Booties.
  • Flip-flops with straps (for dry use). If they’re for trekking, they’re better than flip-flops. Crocs are also a good option.
  • Aluminum and/or plastic plate, glass and cutlery.
  • Cap or hat.
  • Sunglasses with a strap so you don’t lose them at sea.
  • One-liter or one-and-a-half-liter canteen (if it is opaque, even better).
  • Sun cream.
  • Mosquito repellent and/or mosquito net. If you’re particularly prone to mosquito bites, we recommend, in addition to a tropical mosquito repellent, a mosquito net that doesn’t take up much space. Recommendations:

  • Goggles and snorkel.
  • Flashlight or headlamp.
  • Toiletry bag: toothpaste, toothbrush, dental floss, comb, and wet wipes. If you have long hair, a leave-in detangling spray is often helpful. Under no circumstances will we use soap in the sea.
  • Small backpack (about 10 liters) that can get wet (it doesn’t need to be waterproof, a drawstring backpack, like a merchandising backpack, is fine).
  • Biodramina tablets with caffeine (for those who get seasick).
  • Shoveling gloves, gym type (not necessary, but recommended).
  • Pen.
  • Portable battery (in case you want to charge your phone, since there won’t be many outlets).
  • Waterproof case for mobile phone.
  • Food for the first day (although there’s an Eroski supermarket where you can buy food before starting the trek on the first day). We recommend things that don’t require much preparation (canned sardines, cold cuts, bread, nuts, fruit, etc.). Throughout the trek, we’ll stop in areas with supermarkets or grocery stores.

Remember that the water and energy bars for the trip are provided by Vuelta Ibiza Kayak.

* IMPORTANT! Keep in mind that you’ll only have a 15-liter dry bag to carry your gear (apart from the small backpack you’ll need and the waterproof container for your phone, documents, etc.), so we strongly recommend not bringing more than the recommended amount. Part of this experience is enjoying the luxury of not needing a lot of stuff to have a good time.

Any remaining luggage you bring to the island and don’t take with you on the kayak trip will be locked up by Vuelta Ibiza Kayak and returned at the end of the week.
