A day around Ibiza Kayak

The day has begun, gently and slowly. We take advantage of the silence of the bay to stretch and leave our bodies flexible and happy.

The vitality that stretching and a dip in the sea provide are the best combination to start a day smiling. The stage is explained by pointing out the places on a map and telling some upcoming curiosity (not everything, as some surprise factor is left). Tourists appear who enjoy curiously observing the preparations of these kayakers organizing their departure.

Once at sea, this is the law: “Do not look at the cape in front of you, it never comes. Enjoy the cliff, the sea and the fish that slide beneath you. The beauty that surrounds you in this present moment is the only true thing.”

The stage has endless surprises: sea caves, hidden coves, native flora and fauna, transparent waters, etc. and in them everyone enjoys swimming, seeing sunken ships, playing, diving, discovering, etc. Halfway through the stage there is always a longer stop to regain strength and eat something and, why not, have a well-deserved, cold beer.

Leading the adventure is the kayak instructor, while behind, observing and looking after the whole group, is the support boat, which, in addition to assisting those who need it, supplies everyone with water and energy bars. Both instructors are in charge of correcting the canoeists’ paddling technique while describing the coast, secrets and curiosities.

When you reach the destination cove, you stretch the muscles used in the effort, avoiding future muscle aches. At this point the group disperses and some go diving, others go for a drink at a charming beach bar, others lie down on the sand to read a book, others go for a walk and there are those who simply stay looking at the sea...

Seeing the faces of these explorers when the sun majestically sets, giving an endless amount of colors to the sea, clouds, trees and different rock figures, is priceless.
